In my last post, I talked about finding student jobs and a lot of those principles can be used to find a job after you graduate. Graduate jobs are always in demand no matter what time of year it is. How to find one is a skill that most individuals have in their lives. For those who don’t here are some pointers that you can take into practice.

First, make yourself known at the student job fairs. Job fairs are a great way for students and almost graduates to make contacts and make themselves known to potential employers. Make sure to arm yourself with your most up to date resume and slick cover sheets to hand out to those employers you are speaking with. This is a great way to secure at least an interview, if not, employment.

Second, check out websites like Craigslist and FreeStudentListings.com. These sites are filled with jobs for students and recent grads.

Third, network, network, network! Have you ever heard of LinkedIn? Well, you better become acquainted with it today. I have had dozens of potential employment opportunities as have a lot of my friends and contacts. Social networking is becoming a vital part of business today and unless you are using it, you are missing out on potential opportunities to excel in your career.

These are just a few ideas in helping graduates find jobs!
